Is Santa’s Christmas Grotto wheelchair and buggy accessible?
Yes, our Santa’s grotto is wheelchair and buggy accessible, there is a lift and an escalator to Santa’s Christmas Grotto.
The Christmas mini photo shoots do I need to book in advance?
It would be advisable to book in advance online in order to ensure your time slot for your Christmas mini photo shoot. It may be possible to walk in but we cannot promise that there will be any free slots available when you arrive.
Are there toilets and baby-changing facilities?
Toilets and baby-changing facilities are available inside the Carndonagh Shopping where the Santa’s Grotto Donegal is located. They are just a few feet away from the grotto.
How many people can I have in my booking?
You can have a maximum of 6 people from the one family in your booking, including children and babies.
Is there free parking available?
There is free parking however spaces at peak times (i.e. weekends) are limited. Please allow extra time for parking.
What are the photography prices for Santa’s Christmas Grotto?
€15 for one 12 x 8 high quality mounted photo, you may purchase additional photos on the day. Photos can be purchased either with credit card or cash and there is an ATM machine downstairs in the shopping centre if you need cash.
What are the photography prices for Christmas mini photo shoots?
These are mini photo shoots are €80 and session lasts 30 minutes. You will receive eight digital images from your session sent to you electronically a few days later.
Are Christmas mini photo shoots refundable?
We understand that delays happen, so will always try to accommodate you on the next available time slot on the day. However, please note that this is only subject to availability. Unfortunately, as you are being allocated a dedicated time slot for your Christmas mini photo shoot if you miss your session we cannot give this to another family so we cannot offer refunds. If however, we are given plenty of advance notice and we can reschedule your booked slot to another date and time we will do our very best to do so.
Will Santa be available for the Christmas mini photo shoots?
Santa will be present at the scheduled Christmas grotto times and not available for the Christmas mini photo shoots.
What is the maximum recommended child age?
There is no age restriction.
Is Santa’s Grotto Donegal and mini Christmas photo shoots all in doors?
Yes, Santa’s Grotto Donegal and the mini Christmas photo shoots are all in doors so you will nice and warm and dry.
Are there food and drinks available for purchase?
You can purchase drinks and food in the restaurant a few feet away from Santa’s Grotto Donegal and also downstairs in the Costcutters supermarket as well.
Can children sit on Santa’s knee at Santa’s Grotto Donegal?
Due to Santa travelling around the world and visiting all the good boy’s and girl’s on the good list Santa will be doing a lot of climbing up and down chimneys to deliver Christmas presents. Santa has to be in peak physical condition so just in case he hurts himself unfortunately children cannot sit on his knee.
For children that can not sit up on their own, a parent / guardian will need to be in the photo to hold the child.
